I have two preschoolers who are very busy and they started swimming in July. The week before her last session my three year old almost drowned. I happened to be looking in the pool and she was in distress and the instructiors had their backs turned. I started screaming for help and they pull her out. On our way home my daughter commented that she did not want to swim anymore because she was not a good swimmer, I told her that was not the case. I was so disappointed that I didn't know what to do. Every opportunity, I would tell her what to do differently in the pool, she dismissed it and said she was afraid. That was a huge set back especially since she was never afraid of being in the pool. The very next day I took her to a different local pool and she was reluctant at first but I am very proud to say that she has regained her confidence. She is no longer afraid of the pool and in fact she did not want to leave. She was able to overcome her fear in a day. I am very happy and pround of my princess ability to bounce back so quickly.
