Results of Perfect Turkey Survey Revealed
My quest for the perfect turkey has had its share of highs and lows… and judging from your responses to our perfect turkey survey, I’m not alone!
• Whoops! 15% of you admit to having dropped the turkey on the way to the table. (Full disclosure: It’s happened to me, too!). Happily, only 15% of you say your pet has eaten your turkey (before you could serve it to your guests).
• At last, proof that looks can be deceiving… 34% say they’ve served a turkey that was golden brown on the outside…and raw on the inside! Whats more, 10% say, their turkey imploded when they started to carve it.
• Wishful thinking. 4 out of 10 of us have bought a turkey that was too big for our oven.
• I knew I forgot something! 47 % say they forgot to remove the giblets before cooking their turkey.
• Your (lack of!) cooking skills are legendary – 16 % admit that their guests have brought their own food to their holiday celebration (in anticipation of their turkey).
• Better safe than sorry… A whopping 57% say they’ve definitely cooked a turkey too long – even though 52 % say they consult a recipe when preparing their turkey!
